Caseworkers were equipped with smart phone technology and either a laptop “tablet” or a Surface “slate” to more adequately respond to the stated needs of staff and to improve efficiency of service delivery. Enhancement of Children & Youth’s automated case management system, “ACYS”, was initiated to support workforce mobility. The enhancements focus on development of a completely electronic record, as well as streamlining the functionality of the system so that our increasingly mobile staff is able to obtain information, access case records and create documents and correspondence from the field.
