[ARCHIVED] May 24 - Free Public Virtual Meeting on Montco comprehensive plan proposed updates

Montco 2040 Masthead

The Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) invites you to take part in a free public virtual meeting to review proposed updates to the county’s award-winning comprehensive plan, Montco2040: A Shared Vision. This virtual meeting will take place on May 24, 2021 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. While a new comprehensive plan will be prepared for 2025, this current opportunity allows us to incorporate the changes that have taken place through the 2015 plan’s implementation process and keep the plan’s policy maps in line with the goals of the plan, which are organized around the central themes of Connected Communities, Sustainable Places, and Vibrant Economy. Locally adopted policies and regulations have also informed these proposed changes, which have been reviewed by the county and municipalities. The proposed updates primarily represent adjustments to the adopted plan's policy maps, including:

  • Development Potential Plan
  • Future Land Use Plan
  • Existing and Future Sewer Service Areas
  • Existing and Future Water Service Areas
  • Vision Roadway Projects
  • Programmed Roadway Projects
  • Proposed Countywide Trail System

We look forward to sharing information with the public at the May 24 meeting and gaining any additional feedback on the proposed updates to the plan. Registration for the May 24 virtual meeting is required to receive a meeting link. Click here to register. In addition to registering, you may view the maps and make online comments at www.montcopa.org/Montco2040Updates
