Resource foster parents provide love and care and share their family life with children in need, while assisting birth parents on both a short-term and long-term basis.
Residents should be aware of the need for temporary care for children in need and become involved in supporting children, birth parents and resource foster parents in our community.
Therefore, the Montgomery County Commissioners have declared May 2015 as Foster Care Month and urge all citizens to recognize the enduring and valuable contribution of foster parents and consider making a difference in the life of a child by becoming a resource foster parent.
