More than five years have passed since Montgomery County's comprehensive plan, Montco 2040: A Shared Vision, was adopted and much has been achieved through the plan’s implementation process. New development has taken place, land has been preserved, and many transportation and trail projects have been completed. While a new comprehensive plan will be prepared for 2025, we have an opportunity now to incorporate the changes that have taken place since 2015 and keep the plan’s policy maps in line with the goals of the plan, which are organized around the central themes of Connected Communities, Sustainable Places, and Vibrant Economy. These proposed updates are also informed by locally adopted policies and regulations that have been reviewed by the county and municipalities.

The Montgomery County Planning Commission invites the public to join us at a virtual public meeting on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to review the proposed changes, share information, and offer feedback.
