Bring your family for an educational campfire. Learn about nocturnal animals and play some games. Also hear some great campfire stories from our educator. Bring your own supplies to make smores and we will supply the fire! Lawn chairs are recommended.

Morning Bird Walk
Get outdoors and join park staff for our regular Tuesday bird walk. Bring binoculars. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking.

Nocturnal Bug Hunt
Come explore the creepy crawling insects that are active while your sleep. See them up close as we catch them with light and sugar traps. All animals caught will be release unharmed. Bring a small flash light if you have it. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking.

Saturday August 14
Do you have children interested in Cub Scouts? Attend our Terrific Turtles program, sponsored by Cub Scout Pack 724. Children will discover facts about our local turtles. Inspect some animal artifacts and create a turtle cutout to race in a turtle race. At the end you'll be able to take information for children 5 to 11 who may be interested in Cub Scout! No Registration required. Meet at pavilion.

Friday, August 20
Ever wonder what lives in the locals creeks? Come explore the Stony Creek and discover all the critters that call it home. Observe a variety of aquatic creatures including water bugs and maybe even a frog or salamander. All animals will be released unharmed. Be prepared to get wet and wear closed toed shoes! We will provide all supplies needed to catch the critters.

While hiking at the park, have you noticed all the bird houses? Join us to learn why these boxes are important. Discover how volunteer monitors care for the boxes and submit information for science. Explore how you can help and participant in projects like this. This is an indoor event.

Full Moon Hike
Come experience a hike under the almost full moon. This nearly two mile hike will be led by park ranger Dave. See some nocturnal animals and experience the starry sky. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking.

Join Imagine More Story Adventure for a fun, engaging outdoor adventure! You'll experience the story visually, discover soundscapes, and move expressively through music & movement. Children will continue to explore through games and activities as we bring the story to life!
