HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER AT THE COVID-19 VACCINE CLINICS?

We would be happy to have you join the Montgomery County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). Both medical and non-medical volunteers can serve through the MRC for Montgomery County’s COVID volunteer response. To register for the MRC, go to the ServPA website, https://serv.pa.gov

Once your profile is complete, you will receive a notification that your ServPA registration is complete. The Montgomery County MRC has a COVID-19 task force group that MRC members will join to help support with COVID-19 requests. Being a part of the MRC COVID-19 task force group will allow all members to receive COVID-19 volunteer specific requests.

Your ServPA profile will help ensure your information is up to date for future volunteer opportunities. We appreciate your commitment to join the Montgomery County MRC team.

WHAT VACCINES ARE APPROVED FOR USE FOR 12 to 17-YEAR-OLDS?

Only the Pfizer vaccine is currently approved for use in 12 to 17-year-olds.

WHAT is the process for getting vaccinated as a minor?

When registering for your appointment, please select a clinic that is administering the Pfizer vaccine. All minors (under age 18) that are to be vaccinated MUST be physically accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

An acceptable substitute is an adult relative age 21 or older, who has been authorized by the child's parent to seek medical treatment for the minor.  This may include grandparent, aunt/uncle, or sibling provided they are at least 21 years old. The authorized relative must present a signed copy of the Treatment of a Minor form. If the authorized relative does not have a signed form, the parent may be contacted by phone to give a verbal consent for delegation of care to that individual, and the form should be completed with the parent signature line indicating “verbal consent” and the name of the person witnessing consent.
