TOURSTours are limited to single family groups every hour (a group is one or more people), preferably four or fewer in any one group. Larger family groups may be split into two smaller groups. Tours are of the first floor only. Everyone must register if they would like a house tour. Drop-ins are not accepted. Even if you are visiting onsite for another program you are required to register for a house tour.

Come learn how colored clothes were made back in colonial times. Discover what plants make different color dyes. Bring along a cotton white shirt to dye with all the natural dyes! We must limit the number of children at this program because of supplies. Supplies are only available for children ages 7 to 16. Full Moon & Folklore
Join us for a hike under the Hunter’s Moon. Learn some facts about the full moon and some folklore. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking. Limited space available, Registration required. Meet at pavilion adjacent to parking lot.

Bird Walk at Peter Wentz
As we are in the peak season for warblers and other songbird’s migration, this will be a walk you won’t want to miss! Many of these species are passing through as they finish their migration. Join park staff to observe these amazing birds that are only stopping by. Bring binoculars or borrow ours! Wear sturdy shoes for hiking. Limited space available, Registration required. Meet at pavilion adjacent to parking lot.
